Violin!

So, now that Anthony is a big 5th grader, he is able to participate in the Elementary Strings Program at school. His choices were Violin, Viola or Cello and he chose the Violin. The paperwork that came home from school had a list of rental stores to choose from to rent a violin for $20-$25/month, so I thought I'd get on Craig's List to see if I could find one for a reasonable amount. Most of them were pretty expensive, but I found a few cheaper ones and one of them was only $90 in great condition AND it was the size he needed. We just picked it up tonight (just in the nick of time), and Anthony is SUPER excited to start his music lessons tomorrow morning! It's so nice to see him getting into great programs that he really enjoys, like his gymnastics that he still LOVES (he just got moved up to the intermediate level (level 3), and now music! His other big thing was basketball, but he says he doesn't want to do basketball this year, he wants to do football instead.... we'll see! ;)

Here he is with his new violin!
He looks pretty happy! :)
Also, Isabella was feeling a little left out, so we got Anthony's guitar out for her to play while Anthony was trying out his new violin. She was happy about that!
