Anthony had his first strings concert tonight at school! They showed us all the songs and techniques they have learned in class so far. They did a great job! They also received their first report card and Anthony got all A's (one A-, but that's still an A, right? ;)! He was very happy to see that all of his hard working is paying off! He has been working very hard at mastering the violin, and his teacher proved that to us parents by calling us up to stand with our children at one point during the concert. Our children had to teach us the cords and how to play a song and then we attempted to play it. It was really hard.... and quite funny!
Anthony's class will be having another concert in March at Sehome High School with several other 5th grade students from other schools, and then one in June at Squalicum High School with even more students, including high school students, all performing together.
